Palesha Goverdhan won a bronze medal at the 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, making history as the first Nepali athlete to earn a medal at the Asian Para Games. She began her impressive run by defeating China’s Yang Liting 14-1 in the opening match, securing a spot in the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, she narrowly lost 16-10 to Kamilya Dosamlova of Kazakhstan.
